Empathy Maps

How well do you know your customers wants, needs, and fears?

When you know what your customers days look like, you are on a path to help them. A path to helping them get what they need. A path to getting more customers.

Because, you can get more customers in 2 months, becoming interested in them. More than you can get in 2 years, trying to get your customers interested in you.

Now, here is a quick tip. A tip to see the world from their eyes. It’s called an empathy map.

·         Grab a sheet of paper.

·         In the center draw a single customer in the center.

·         Above them write. What they do.

·         To the left write goals.

·         To the right write challenges.

Fill in the white space. What do they do? What are their goals and challenges?

Ask your team to do the same. Compare what everyone sees. You may be surprised.

When your done, you have a way to tailor your products and services to the customers world

When your done, you have two lists. A list of what your customer needs.  A list of what you can do to get them there.

You also have a tailored discussion from this customers perspective. Do this for all your customers and you have better understanding of those you serve.
